STRUCTURE AND GOVERNANCE
JRS Romania was founded in 2000 in accordance with Law no 21/1924 and its constitutive documents. Bucharest Tribunal's civil judgment no. 112 in case 40A/PJ/2000 on 18 April 2000. Listed in the Register of Associations and Foundations as no. 229/02.05.2000.
The name of the association is "Serviciul Iezuiților pentru Refugiați din România". Its English name is "Jesuit Refugee Service Romania" (abbreviated "JRS Romania").
JRS Romania's headquarters are located in Bucharest, 54 Maior Ilie Opriş Street, Sect 4.
As a Romanian legal entity under private law, the Association JRS Romania is a non-profit humanitarian, autonomous, independent, democratic, apolitical and non-governmental association, serving refugees and migrants.
The management, administration, and control bodies of the Association are:
a. the General Assembly
b. the Board of Directors
c. President of the Association
d. the Censor
The duties and powers of the governing bodies are set out in the statutes. The Chairman of the Board is also the President of the Association.
