JRS Romania Ukrainian Volunteers team won the 2nd prize in the category: Organisation of the Year.
Tonight, the JRS Romania Ukrainian Volunteers team won the 2nd prize in the category: Organisation of the Year.
The award was presented at the Romanian Volunteering Gala, organized by Comunitatea ONedu România.

"JRS Romania's volunteer team initiated and implemented projects both in the first phase of emergency humanitarian assistance and in the phase of assistance focused on integration, access to social rights, work and education. A remarkable element of the activity of refugees from Ukraine who became volunteers and then part of the permanent staff of our organization is their participation in decision-making and in the design and planning of organizational policies for assistance activities. An example of the involvement of volunteers from Ukraine at the level of assistance design is their contribution to the development of a digital registration system for refugees from Ukraine to access social vouchers offered by our organization. Another example is their participation in writing assistance projects for refugees in Ukraine and negotiating with funders, so that the needs of the refugee community in Romania are reflected and addressed through our organization's funding proposals and subsequently through the implementation of the projects won." - JRS Romania
Our sincere thanks go to the organizers of the event for this significant award for the Ukrainian community.
JRS Romania would like to express its gratitude to all Ukrainian volunteers who have supported its work since the beginning of the war. We appreciate their dedication, their time, their prolonged effort, and their drive and enthusiasm day after day!
WE DEDICATE THIS AWARD TO ALL UKRAINIANS WHO HAVE VOLUNTEERED TO HELP REFUGEES, AT THE BORDER, IN ACCOMMODATION CENTRES, TRAIN STATIONS AND IN ALL THE ASSOCIATIONS WHERE THEY HAVE WORKED THROUGHOUT ROMANIA.
