Hamura Svitlana left Ukraine and fled to Romania with her five children out of fear for their lives
In March, Hamura Svitlana left Ukraine and fled to Romania with her five children out of fear for their lives. As soon as she arrived in Romania, JRS provided her with a free apartment, financial assistance and vouchers, including an electronic tablet for educational purposes.

"I have worked as a kindergarten teacher and music director in Ukraine. The fear I felt for my children prompted me to leave the country. Unfortunately, a large number of children remain in Ukraine. Our family remains in Romania until the end of the war.
It is our hope that better times will come. We will be back to fix everything! I wish for peace to prevail! In my opinion, JRS is wonderful! Thank you for your assistance."
For Svitlana, Romania is a foreign country where nothing is familiar to her and many rules are different. She considers JRS's assistance to be very valuable in this regard.
"We know that there is someone we can contact and we will receive assistance", she stated.
